We are looking for an experienced Assistant (and future) Production Manager.
Currently, the organization is undergoing solid growth which will bring the production output to a higher level in a short period of time. To this end, preparations are underway in the areas of:
- Supply chain optimization
- Increasing production output
- Standardization
- Tensionless assembly within one of the production parts.
You will play a leading role towards the organization, under the guidance of the CTO and (for the time being) Production Manager. More information about the position and challenges is available, if interested we will gladly send it to you.
What are your duties and responsibilities
- Daily control of production double deck trailers
- Production support role towards other (order process) departments
- Weekly participation in production foremen, operational and management meetings
- Ensure reporting of improvement initiatives
- Follow up and direct the Tensionless Assembly improvement programs including reporting to management
- Steering for “just in time” material needs on behalf of various production parts
- Tracking/monitoring and improving standard times on production parts
- Manage chief workshop and foremen with focus on improving efficiency and increasing output. Where necessary you identify training and education needs on which you take action.
- Provide production planning feedback to production planner and communicate about it to various departments
What we ask
- A well-developed HBO working and thinking level
- Relevant work experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated experience in implementing (5S LEAN-Six Sigma) improvements with an eye on quality and increasing production output
- Experience with (ERP) planning and order flow software packages, (preferably with transition to new ERP environment)
- Good communication and reporting skills, you establish contacts easily
- Good knowledge of in Dutch and English in word and writing, German, French, Spanish preferred
- Preferably experience within a technical manufacturing environment; Within body shop and/or automotive has an added plus
- Willing to develop further through courses
- You know how to combine flexibility, creativity and technical understanding in your work
- Experience reading technical drawings. Knowledge of autocad, Creo and or Windchill is an advantage
