As a buyer, you play a crucial role in ensuring an efficient supply chain and obtaining quality parts and materials for the purpose of series and project-based production processes. To this end, you maintain contacts with various suppliers at home and abroad and conduct regular negotiations in accordance with the strategic purchasing policy. You work closely with various stakeholders in order to optimize the purchasing strategies and pursue cost savings and improved delivery times. You have preferably gained several years of experience in a similar position which you now want to continue with a next employer. Responsibilities
- Negotiate and conclude purchasing contracts with suppliers at home and abroad
- Actively manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance
- Analyze market trends and supplier assessments to improve competitiveness
- Carefully monitor inventory and timely replenishment of materials
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand needs and anticipate future requirements
- Using ERP systems for accurate data capture and reporting
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a buyer preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
- Experience with ERP systems
- Excellent negotiation skills and analytical ability
- Fluent in both Dutch and English, both verbal and written any other language is a plus
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mentality
