As a production planner you play an important role in efficiently planning and coordinating the entire production process within the Burgers organization for the production of new build trailers and double deck trailers. A unique challenge where optimal cooperation between the internal organization and various (inter)national suppliers are key.
What is expected of you as a production planner
As Production Planner, you are responsible for coordinating and planning the production orders. You make detailed plans and coordinate the corresponding activities on the basis of the incoming orders. You do this for short and long term orders where coordinating the material flows from the internal organization and suppliers is essential.
On a daily basis, you are engaged in
- Prepare and follow up production plans based on delivery dates;
- Arranging material flows so that production planning runs optimally;
- Oversee the status of orders, and create/adjust the production plan accordingly;
- Communicating with internally involved departments regarding production planning;
- Supervising the implementation of new products in collaboration with other departments;
- Maintain/develop relationships with internal and external parties (headquarters, production new build, Double Decks and suppliers).
What we are looking for
You have a professional and positive work attitude and of course you are eager to get started! You have excellent communication skills and mastery of both the Dutch and English language in word and writing. You also have:
- Experience with ERP (plan) systems and Microsoft Office;
- Knowledge of production planning, (pre), inventory management, material requirement planning and capacity planning;
- Basic knowledge of storage and transportation;
- Strong analytical thinking and “doing” ability;
- Good organizational skills and you are quick and efficient in prioritizing the changing work and communicating about it with tact and agility with the various parties on the shop floor and external stakeholders.
