As Supply Chain Manager (ad interim), you will be responsible for efficiently organizing and optimizing our supply chain, from procurement to delivery for two production lines. You play an important role in ensuring a smooth production process by ensuring that materials, parts and tools are available on time, and meet the right quality. You will work closely with the managers of the production lines, facilities, business office, purchasing and engineering and a number of operations managers to continuously improve the performance of the supply chain. This temporary role helps to further increase the efficiency of the production process for the benefit of the growing production volume where the focus is on implementing a LEAN/SixSigma process.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensuring input control for quality and correct sizes of parts, where the control may already be carried out at the (foreign) supplier;
- Monitor quality standards and delivery times;
- Manage and optimize inventory levels;
- Ensure timely availability (from various warehouse locations) of parts and tools at various assembly locations within the two production lines;
- Together with the production manager, checking the availability of sufficient production staff to ensure production planning. In doing so, you maintain short lines of communication with the production planner;
- Optimize supply chain processes in terms of efficiency, cost reduction and sustainability and identify risks.
- In coordination with the purchasing department, maintain and strengthen relationships with suppliers, logistics partners and internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Completed college or university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or trailer industry.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Problem solving ability and results orientation.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and other optimization methods is a plus.
- Fluent command of Dutch and English.
- Flexibility and willingness to jump in at short notice on an interim basis.
