At Burgers Carrosserie, the largest Double Deck builder in the world, we are enthusiastically looking for new employees who want to realize our European ambitions with us. With almost 100 years of experience, we as a company have built up a wealth of knowledge and expertise, with which we continuously strive for innovation and to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the industry.
But we are more than just an experienced company. Burgers Carrosserie is also about a mission: making the transport sector more sustainable by further developing our Double Deck. Our Double Deck trailer is a unique product that is revolutionizing the transport industry and making it more efficient.
As a new employee you play an essential role in realizing this mission. At Burgers Carrosserie, no day is the same and you get plenty of room to develop yourself further and grow in your career. At the same time, you contribute to the development and production of sustainable solutions that have a positive impact and contribute to a greener future.
Job description
In our production, various trailers are being manufactured. Due to the significant increase in revenue, there has been a focus on standardization in recent years. This effort has laid the initial foundation for the electrical components. Burgers has also committed to leading in the electrification of the transportation sector and is currently producing electric "last mile" delivery trucks.
We are looking for an intern who is enthusiastic about initiating research to collaborate with relevant colleagues in order to assess what we are currently doing well and/or what could be improved. This pertains to the electrical components both in terms of production standardization and electrification within the transportation sector. Subsequently, based on this research, recommendations can be made on how Burgers can maintain a competitive edge. If there is enough time after the research, the intern will also have the opportunity to implement the recommendations derived from the research in the factory. This presents a valuable opportunity for an (intern or graduate) intern to contribute something tangible and visible within the organization. An additional advantage is that the graduation internship may potentially lead to a permanent position.
Working conditions
A 3rd or 4th year higher professional education (HBO) student in electrical engineering, available for a period of 4-6 months. You excel at working independently while also thriving as a team player. You possess resilience to stress, flexibility, precision, and a strong focus on quality. Additionally, you demonstrate strong analytical skills and initiative. A competitive internship stipend and travel allowance are provided.
