Job description
In our production, various trailers are constructed. Recently, the 5S Lean method has been adopted, and in line with the need for standardization, the 3D design package is being restructured based on a modular framework. We are seeking an intern who is interested in initiating research to collaborate with the relevant colleagues in order to determine how the existing 3D design package for double-deck new builds can be given a new foundation from a modular approach. Subsequently, based on this research, recommendations can be made on how the package can be further expanded towards other production components, including the suppliers with whom extensive communication regarding drawings takes place. If there is enough time after the research, the intern will also have the opportunity to implement the recommendations derived from the research within the engineering department. This presents a valuable opportunity for an (intern or graduate) intern to contribute something tangible and visible within the organization. An additional advantage is that the graduation internship may potentially lead to a permanent position.
Working conditions
A 3rd or 4th year higher professional education (HBO) student in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, available for a period of 4-6 months. You are proficient in working independently and thrive as a team player as well. You possess resilience to stress, flexibility, precision, and a strong focus on quality. Additionally, you demonstrate strong analytical skills and proactiveness. A competitive internship stipend and travel allowance are provided.
